Prior to PDI, Sanchez-Cordero served as an Operating Partner in a healthcare-focused investment firm and as Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development at WerfenLife, a global, privately-held in-vitro diagnostics and medical devices company based in Barcelona, Spain.  At Werfen, he led the successful development of the company’s multi-division growth strategy and managed the realization of several complementary transactions.

PDI Strengthens Team with New Senior Leadership Appointments

Infection prevention leader welcomes Tom McCurdy as Senior Vice President and General Manager, PDI Healthcare and promotes Esperanza Carrion to Vice President and General Manager, Sani Professional®

ORANGEBURG, NY – January 16, 2018 – PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, announces the appointment of Tom McCurdy as Senior Vice President and General Manager for its healthcare division and promotes Esperanza “Espie” Carrion, the former Vice President of Marketing for Sani Professional, the food safety division of PDI, to Vice President and General Manager of Sani Professional. Tom and Espie join Cheryl Mallon, Vice President and General Manager, PDI Contract Manufacturing, in these important roles driving the company’s growth and further elevating it as a leader in the fight against preventable infections.

Tom has a proven track record as a people-centered and results-driven senior executive and will lead the development and the execution of the growth strategy for PDI Healthcare.  In his most recent role as President of Global Plasma for Haemonetics Corporation, Tom achieved impressive revenue and profit growth by implementing a new-product-technology and customer-value-centered strategy founded in innovation, clinical value, and commercial excellence.  Earlier in his career, Tom spent 18 years at Boston Scientific Corporation holding multiple roles of increasing commercial leadership responsibility and contributing to the impressive growth.

Espie has successfully led the Sani Professional marketing organization for the last six years.  She is an accomplished leader with diverse consumer and business-to-business experience.  In this new role, Espie will lead Sani Professional’s plan execution as well as crafting its future growth strategy.  Prior to joining PDI, Esperanza held roles of increasing responsibility with top Fortune 100 companies such as The Colgate-Palmolive Company, The Coca-Cola Company, and Kraft Foods International.

PDI Supports Annual Hispanic Health & Heritage Fair

Stamford, CT – PDI donated free products at a booth to help provide health/prevention to between 1,000 and 2,000 people in their local Hispanic communities, and to anyone impacted by low income, being uninsured or undocumented, unemployed/under-employed, or who may be non-English speaking or with limited English-language skills.

 

PDI Appoints New President & Chief Operating Officer, Kent J. Davies

ORANGEBURG, NY – October 4, 2017 – PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, announces the appointment of Kent J. Davies as President and Chief Operating Officer.   Through this new position and appointment, PDI will continue to accelerate its evolution as an infection prevention solutions leader.  In this role, Kent will be responsible for driving PDI’s enterprise-wide commercial strategy and have overall responsibility for its operational and financial performance.

Kent has over twenty-five years of successful operating, general management and leadership experience, including assignments with name brand multi-nationals such as 3M, Kimberly-Clark, and Stryker as well as several rapidly-growing, privately-owned, middle-market businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of NYSE-listed Haemonetics Corporation with responsibility for its full P&L and its broad portfolio of blood and plasma collection technologies.  He has delivered growth through organic R&D and successful business development and licensing initiatives while being disciplined about managing quality performance and continuous improvement in operations.
